17-year-old Anton joins his mother and her new husband on a trip to the summer house on the Brittany coast. Family ties are to be repaired after the death of Anton's father but the new constellation chafes at him. Instead Anton heads out alone into the dramatic, rocky landscape. He runs into David, who is the very opposite of the cautious, boyish Anton. Through his guidance Anton cracks the door open to harder and less restrained parts of himself. David's girlfriend Katja also ensures that add sexual desire is added to Anton's emotional turmoil. Wolfgang Fischer's debut is characterised by a chilly quality that brings Haneke to mind. Relentlessly the unease of the story drills its way deeper into both Anton and the viewer.
